AARP Michiana 2016 Programs
January and February Meetings are not held because of weather and members being out of town for the winter.
March 7 - Gardening tips Mr. Greg Leyes, Gardening Expert with Ginger Valley, will be teaching "Gardening for Seniors".
April 4 - South Bend 150 Year History featuring Mr. Andrew Beckman, Archivist at the Studebaker National Museum, presenting on the 150 Year History of South Bend
May 2 - Exploring Geneaology featuring Ms. Alice Clark, President of the South Bend Area Genealogical Society (SBAGS)
June 6 - Antiques Appraisal with Sue Strubble
July 11 - Fun in our Parks
August 1 - Ask the South Bend Police Community Outreach - If you have questions about the current Gang Programs and Safety in South Bend come with questions for Operations Division Chief Jeff Rynearson, Crime Stoppers Kayla Miller and Crime Prevention Officer Robert Hammer.
September 12 - Meet the Candidates - We have invited the candidates in our area that vote on Seniors issues. Please come to hear them and ask questions.
October 3 - Downsizing Options with Cathy Fairchild, a Professional Organizer with an organizing business, Say Yes To Less. Since becoming a professional organizer, Cathy has worked with over 60 clients and their families in the Michiana area. In the last year alone, she has successfully assisted over a dozen clients in their desire to downsize. Cathy is a member of the National Association of Professional Organizers.
